Emily and Jeremy live in New Jersey but found me on the Internet and knew that they wanted me to be the one to photograph their wedding, which always means a lot considering all the easier options they could have chosen! They told me they would be coming down to visit family in West Palm Beach, and though I live in Miami I had the perfect spot in mind that I had been wanting to shoot one of my couples at forever! Jupiter, FL has a stretch of beach with tall cliffy rocks, that is pretty much the only place in Florida like this. I had heard it would be very tricky with the tides, but we checked the tide info and decided we were up for giving it a shot!
Little did we know that actually getting to this place at sunset would be quite the adventure, because we found out once we got there that the visitor parking lot closes at 4:30pm and there is no place to park legally for a mile around the park! Thankfully, I remembered the one friend I had in the area and decided to give him a call, and to our luck, he was up for dropping us off at the park if we were willing to walk back.
But once we got there, the adventure wasn’t over… because even though we arrived at low tide, the ocean was so rough and the rocks were totally filled with water every few minutes! I told the two of them that we totally don’t have to shoot in there and can just shoot around the area, but they promised me they were up for getting wet and wanted to do it! Gotta love adventurous couples 🙂 I hope you guys love these images as much as I do!
